EFFECTING THE DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN LANDS FROX THE CITY OF OARDALE AND THE ANNEXATION OF SAME TO THE CITY OF LAAE ELMO. At a regular meeting of the City Council Of the City at Oakdale held on Tuesday, April 10, 1990 at the Oakdale Municipal Building, 1584 Hadley Avenue North, Oakdale, Minnesota, with the following members present: Mayor Leo Hudalla, Councilmembers Ted Bearth, Bill Lee, Pat Morris and Bev Peterson and the following absent: None, the Oakdale City Council resolved: WHEREAS, the City of Oakdale received a petition from Thomas 0. and Rosemary C. Armstrong an January 23, 1989 requesting detachment of 13 acres from the City Of Oakdale and the annexation of same to the City of Lake Elmo attached hereto as Exhibit A; and oes no objectto the concurrent detachment wof this property fromed this request and theCity of Oakdale and its annexation to the City of Lake Elmo, and WHEREAS, the City of Lake Elmo is willing to accept the annexation of the 13 acres petitioned for detachment from the City of Oakdale. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of ( Oakdale: 1. Thatthose Certain premises situated in the State of Minnesota, County of Washington, described as follow to wit: The north half (N 1/2) of the east half (E 1J2) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of Section 29, Township 21_ north, Range 21 west, containing ten acres, more or less. and also, the northerly three hundred eighty-eight and five tenths (388.5) feet of the east half (E 1 2) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the southeast quarter (SE 1/4) of the northeast quarter (NE 1/4) of section 21, Township 29 north, Range 21 west, containing three acres, more or less. 2. That the City Council finds that the above described property now located in the City of Oakdale abuts the City of Lake Elmo and is properly subject to concurrent detachment and annexation by concurrent resolutions of the two councils of the two municipalities pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 414.061. 3. That it is the desire of the City of Oakdale that the above described property be concurrently detached from the City of Oakdale and annexed to the City of Lake Elmo, 4. That it is the desire of the City of Lake Elmo that the above -described property be concurrently detached from the City of Oakdale and annexed to the City of Lake Elmo.
