3
HIGHLIGHTS
April 2, 1990
Although the volume of run-off has not been dramatic, the above
normal precipitation during the month of March (3.15 inches at
Lake Jane) has significantly decreased the storage in the Water-
shed. In fact, there is negative storage in the lower three '
lakes and less than half the total storage available in February.
Over the past 23 days, Long Lake and Eagle Point Lake have gone
up two feet and Downs Lake has gone up three feet. Eagle Point
and Lake Elmo are both at overflow but water levels in the West
Lakeland Storage Areas have actually gone down since March 13.
City Park Pond is at it's lowest level since 1981. The two parts
of the pond are now seperated by land.
The acre feet of storage in the Watershed lakes are tabulated
below.
Acres Overflow Level
Elev.
-------------------------------------
Long Lake 70.00 937.50 935.24
O+D
Jane
Eagle Pt.
Elmo
220.00 928.50
160.00 922.50
130.00 894.00
200.00 884.50
Horseshoe 60.00 875.60
Acre feet of Storage
Total Watershed
925.94
920.59
894.13
885.05
875.04
Acre ft.
Storage
158.20
563.20
305.60
-16.96
-110.00
tlkw&
Feb., 1989
Mar., 1989
Apr. 1989
May, 1989
June, 1989
July, 1989
Aug., 1989
Sept. 1989
Oct., 1989
Nov., 1989
Dec., 1989
Jan., 1990
Feb., 1990
Mar., 1990
Apr., 1990
Total
---------------
1027.00
-93.30
1712
1542
764
947
982
905
1153
1140
1478
1691
1783
1885
1981
1701
934
933.70
