DATE APPROVED: 8/7/90 DATE ISSUED: 8/17/90 EMERGENCY LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES' JULY 5, 1990 Mayor Dunn called the July 5, 1990 Emergency City Council meeting to order at 4:55 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Present: Dunn, Hunt, Williams and Administrator Kueffner. Absent: Armstrong and Graves. 1. AGENDA Add: 3. Clerical Position, 4. Letter from Robert Engstrom M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to approve the July 5, 1.990 City Council agenda as amended. (Motion carried 3-0). 2. Adoption of Ordinance 8033 restricting motorized boat traffic on Lake Elmo from July 5, 1.990 thru July 17, 1990. The DNR has asked that the City pass an ordinance which prohibits motorized boat traffic at any time or within 100 feet- of any buoyed area set aside for purposes olympic competition Lake Elmo from July 5, 1990 thru July 17, 1990. M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to adopt Ordinance 8033, an Ordinance Amending the Provisions of Ordinance 8030 during the Olympic Festival competition on Lake Elmo. (Motion carried 3-0). 3. Clerical Position Administrator Kueffner reported she has interviewed applicants for the advertised clerical position. Kueffner requested Council authorization to hire Kathy Weeks for the Full. -time clerical position at a starting salary of $6.50/Hr. M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to direct the City Administrator to hire Kathy Weeks for the Full -Time clerical position at a starting salary of $6.50/Hr. (Motion carried 3=0). 4. Letter from Robert Engstrom The Council received a letter from Robert Engstrom requesting a change for narrower road design in their P.U.D. "The Forest". The Council called a Special Council meeting for Monday, July 9, 1990 at 7:00 p.m. to consider this request of Robert Engstrom. M/S/P Hunt/Williams - to adjourn the Emergency City Council meeting at 5:10 p.m. (Motion carried 3-0). -------------- Ordinance 8033 - an Ordinance amending the provisions of Ordinance 8030 during the Olympic Festival competition on Lake Elmo.
