Vacancies on Met Council <br />(1) Fill out the term of Mary Hauser <br />(2) Waste Control <br />(3) Parks Commission <br />The Council requested information on agenda items E. & F. be passed <br />onto the Parks and Planning Commissions. <br />G. Update on meeting with Mary LaPlante, MNDOT <br />City Administrator, Mary Kueffner, advised the Council she had spoken <br />with the Department of Transportation engineer Mary LaPlante regarding <br />MnDOT's survey of Highway 17. While the speed study results have not <br />yet been released, there are some problems on Lake Elmo Avenue. The <br />report will go first to Washington County before making its way to <br />City officials in Lake Elmo. <br />Kueffner noted that MnDOT will also study Highway 5 in preparation for <br />road reconstruction already approved for 1992. They are going to look <br />at right turn lanes, middle turn lanes, and blocking off a couple of <br />accesses onto Hwy 5. The City does not meet the criteria for <br />installation of a light at the intersection of County Road 17 and <br />Highway 5. Results are due in March. Mary LaPlante will update the <br />Council of their proposal. <br />M/S/P Armstrong/Hunt - to adjourn the City Council meeting,at- 8:05 <br />p.m. (Motion carried 4-0). <br />
