CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />A. Resolution opposing further cuts in state aid to cities <br />M/S/P Williams/Hunt - to adopt Resolution No. 91-6, Resolution <br />Opposing Further Cuts in State Aid to Cities. (Motion carried. 5-0). <br />12. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />A. Insurance Renewal <br />The City received a letter from Zignego Insurance Agency regarding the <br />city's insurance package and also a renewal premium <br />summary/comparison. <br />The difference in premiums from 1990/91 to 1991/92 appears to be <br />approximately 6 1/2%, but this includes the new fire truck and the new <br />maintenance department truck. These two additions added about $1450.00 <br />to the premium so the actual rate increase is approximately 1.64% over <br />last year. The City budgeted $34,700 for insurance for 1991 which <br />covers the proposed premium of $31,926.00. <br />M/S/P Dick Johnson/Hunt - to approve the renewal for 1991/92 the <br />city's liability insurance package 'thru the League of Minnesota Cities <br />Insurance Trust (No. Star Risk Services Inc.) in the amount of <br />$31,926.00 as proposed by Zignego Agency Inc. Insurance in his letter <br />dated January 22, 1991. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />M/S/P Dick Johnson/Williams - to decline the offer to carry excess <br />liability as proposed by Zignego Agency Inc. Insurance in its letter <br />dated January 22, 1991. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />H. Letter from R. Thompson on Comprehensive Plan <br />The City Administrator asked the City Council to call with any <br />comments on (Met Council) Richard Thompson's findings and <br />recommendations on the update of the 1979 Comprehensive Plan for the <br />years 1990.to 2010. <br />G. Hammes Letter <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Williams - to direct the City Building Official to send. <br />the Hammes' letter out; but to include an addition to Item 2, <br />requesting receipt for removal of tires. If they (Hammes) propose a <br />different time schedule, this schedule is to be brought back to the <br />City Council. (Motion carried 5-0). <br />The remaining agenda items were postponed. <br />
