There is a concern that water from the swampy area may be mounding up below the <br />fill or there may be a restrictive area in the sand which does not percolate <br />water. If so, it could cause cause hydraulic problems in wet years. This <br />cogent is made based on Mr. McNamara's observation of seepage out of the sand <br />mounds at an unnatural level. Again, the TKDA consultant should be considering <br />this during curtain drain design. Isolated seepage during unusual wet years <br />may occur, <br />Mr. McNamara also expressed a concern about the structural stability of a <br />building placed on a swamp.
