Trees that
are overcrowded are more susceptible to invasion by insects and
also disease problems. Often the problem originates on the property
of one person and spreads to the surrounding areas. By removing
every other row of trees this area will have approximately the
correct density. As the trees continue to grow the process will
need to be repeated in another
sunlight reaching the ground will
during the first year. This will
10 to 15 years. The increase in
also result in a growth of shrubs
reduce the wide open appearance
that results immediately after thinning. I do not expect any
adverse effects to the remaining trees as a result of this
thinning.
Sincerely,, -- ------
Larresterberg
Forester
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
