LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES OCTOBER 4, 1994 <br />which seemed to be a major concern, particularly for Cottage Grove, Woodbury and <br />Oakdale, was the development of adequate sewer capacity for future expansion for <br />those communities. They talked about a major installation in Cottage Grove area that <br />would solve some of those problems. Cottage Grove expressed opposition to the Grey <br />Cloud Island Park because it would interfere with the Industrial tax base in that area. <br />Mottaz added, as far as the Cottage Grove ,Woodbury addition, there was no <br />implication that Lake Elmo would be included in any expansion down there. During <br />discussion on annexation problems, a comment from Met Council staff stood out on <br />the Oakdale/Lake Elmo problem. <br />10. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />A. Washington County's invitation to Highway Cost Participation Meeting <br />The city received a letter from Washington County Public Works inviting the city to a <br />meeting to discuss Highway Cost Participation Policy on Monday evening, October 10. <br />Council members Johnson and Mottaz voiced the position "we will pay for our roads, <br />and you pay for yours". <br />B. Metropolitan Airport Commission's 1995-2001 C.I.P. <br />The City received a letter from M.A.C. regarding its 1995-2001 CIP. A public hearing is <br />scheduled for October 4 so anyone that would like to speak to the proposal should try <br />to attend. <br />The Council asked that a short review of future plans be inserted in the city newsletter <br />and they could come to city hall to look at proposal and react by October 27. <br />M/S/P Mottaz/Johnston - to adjourn the council meeting at 10:35 p.m. (Motion passed <br />5-0). <br />
