LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MAY 7, 1996 <br />10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />A. Clean -Up Day <br />Administrator Kueffner is working with John Maroney on the possibility of having a clean-up day at the <br />Washington County Fairgrounds or the parking lot at Sunfish Park. When the details have been <br />confirmed, this information will be provided to the Council. <br />B. Effective Meeting Procedures <br />Administrator Kueffner had several Saturdays for the Council to chose from for attendance at the <br />-- Effective Meeting Procedure Seminar. <br />C. Set date for Council/Solid Waste Advisory Committee Joint Meeting <br />Administrator Kueffner will set a date for Council/Solid Waste Advisory Committee Joint meeting during <br />the last week in May when Attorney Filla could attend to discuss organized collection. <br />11. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS: <br />Mayor John bowled on Mayor Barb O'Neil's Dream Team against Stillwater Chamber of Commerce in aid <br />of the Bowl for Kid's Sake program. On April 23 he attended the Lake Elmo Firemen's recognition dinner <br />at Tartan Park. On March 30 Councilors Conlin, DeLapp and Johnston with the Mayor attended a <br />discussion on intergrovernmental relationships with Washington County Commissioners, City Officers, <br />Township Board members, Senator Len Price and Representative Peg Larson. The consensus was that <br />such meetings would be beneficial and July 30th would be the date of the next meeting. <br />Councilman DeLapp provided a memo for a possible agenda item for a council meeting:"Scientifically <br />Controlled Resident Survey". Administrator Kueffner, with the help of the City Planner, will pull resources <br />(has a book on surveys) together and come back with information. <br />Councilman Hunt asked for Council consideration on scheduling the second Tuesdays of every month as <br />standing workshop meeting for a 6 month period. He will come back to the Council with a proposal for a <br />small computer committee to be formed initially with a staff person, council member and a resident at <br />large to look at the future of computerization within the City.. <br />12. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />M/S/P DeLapp/Hunt -to adjourn the council meeting at 11:10 p.m. (Motion passed 5-0). <br />Resolution No, 96-8 Approving the plans and specifications for the Sanitary Sewer and Watermain <br />Project in the SE 1/4 of Section 33 and authorize the advertisement for bids <br />
