I <br />LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES NOVEMBER 7, 1996 6 <br />C. CSAH 13 (Inwood Avenue) - Response from Washington County on speed limit and stop signs <br />M/S/P Hunt/Johnston - to support the request that Washington County reduce the speed limit on County <br />Road 13 and inform the residents in the area on County Road 13 along with a copy of letter received from <br />Washington County. (Motion passed 3-0). <br />M/S/P Hunt/Johnston - to direct staff to continue to pursue an all -way stop sign at County Road 13 and <br />27th Street and to reduce speed limit. (Motion passed 3-0). <br />Request for stop signs at DeMontreville Trail and 55th Street <br />M/S/P Hunt/Johnston - to direct staff to send a letter along with concerns to the County and ask that an <br />analysis of road conditions (trafficcounts, possible hazards) be done to see if a 3-way stop sign is <br />warranted or what other alternatives would be. (Motion passed 3-0). <br />D. Letter from Ramsey -Washington Suburban Cable Commission <br />The City received a letter from the Cable Commission stating Ginny Holder had been in litigation with the <br />Cable Commission and expressing concerns about her ability to work with the Commission. <br />M/S/P Hunt/John - that the Council does not see any reason why Ginny Holder could not do the job. <br />(Motion passed 3-0). <br />Hmftwwielvinej,_•••� <br />11. CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORTS: <br />12. CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORTS: <br />A. Response from Washington County regarding County Road 15 Study <br />The City Administrator was directed by the Council to inform Washington County that the City wants to be <br />part of the County Road 15 study that was approved by the County Board. The City received a response <br />from Don Theisen, Deputy Director of Public Works, who indicated Lake Elmo will have a representative <br />on this study group so the Council should start thinking now about who should represent the City. A <br />formal letter from the County will be on a future agenda requesting designation of a City representative. <br />B. Volunteer Appreciation Pdrty <br />A suggestion was made and will be considered for 1997 to hold an additional Volunteer Recognition Party <br />(community pot luck) on a Saturday afternoon at the Regional Park in the summer so families can be <br />invited. <br />M/S/P Hunt/John - to direct the staff to put together a cost estimate for City Council's Volunteer <br />Appreciation party including food, on a Friday in January and bring back the discussion in March, 1997 to <br />make plans for a summer party. (Motion passed 3-0). <br />C. Agreement for auditing/Accounting Services for year ending December 31, 1996. Tautges & <br />Redpath <br />The Council reviewed the Agreement for Auditing/Accounting Services for Fiscal Year Ending December <br />31, 1996 from Tautges & Redpath. There is a minimal increase in hourly rate for the different levels of <br />personnel which has been included in the 1997 preliminary budget <br />
