Since 1979, TKDA has provided engineering
services for the City in a professional and cost-effective manner, and at a level commensurate
with the desires of the City, TKDA would like to continue providing those services as your City
Engineer in 1997.
In considering the appointment, TKDA would like to be evaluated on its past performance. In
that regard, we felt it would be beneficial to review the services that have been provided. Those
services can generally be divided into General Services and Special Services.
General Services are those services necessary for the day-to-day operation of the City. In a
larger city, these services would be provided by a staff engineer, and consist of:
— Attendance at Council, Planning Commission, and Park Commission meetings as requested.
— Provide professional review of utility permits, subdivision, and Site plans.
— Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings to defend the City's land use and permit
decisions.
— Assist the Maintenance Department in developing maintenance schedules and procedures for
roads, water system, drainageways.
— Advise on water and sewer rates.
An Equal Opportunity Employer
