LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />APRIL 3, 2018 <br />Mayor Pearson: Thanked Terry Forrest for his service on the Finance Committee and <br />acknowledged new appointees. <br />Councilmember Nelson: Thanked Terry Forrest and commended city staff for their work during <br />the past week. <br />Councilmember Bloyer: Welcomed Bob Wier to his employment with the City's Public Works <br />Department. <br />Councilmember Fliflet: Reported that a lot of residents are concerned about water issues and <br />thanked staff for doing a great job responding. <br />STAFF REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Administrator Handt: Reminded residents of the upcoming meeting at Oak Land Middle <br />School held by the Minnesota Department of Health and encouraged residents to contact MN <br />Department of Health with concerns. <br />Planning Director Becker: Invited residents to attend the open house to discuss updates to the <br />City's Comprehensive Plan on April 11`s at Lake Elmo Elementary School. <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Bloyer, moved TO ENTER CLOSED SESSION. <br />Motion passed 4 — 0. <br />Discussion held concerning the purchase of real property located at 3880 Laverne Avenue North, <br />Lake Elmo, Minnesota. <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Fliflet, moved TO RETURN TO OPEN <br />SESSION. Motion passed 4 — 0. <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Bloyer, moved TO WAIVE THE <br />CONTINGENCIES AND PROCEED TO CLOSING ON THE PURCHASE OF 3880 <br />LAVERNE AVENUE NORTH, LAKE ELMO.
