LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />OCTOBER 2, 2018 <br />Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved TO OPEN THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING. Motion passed 3 — 0. <br />Dorothy Erban, 11200 Stillwater Boulevard, President of the Twin Gables Association, objected <br />to the assessment on their property because it was assessed equally to all units rather than by <br />square feet of each unit. <br />Steve Erban, 11200 Stillwater Boulevard, commented on a drainage easement on his property <br />and filed a formal objection to the proposed assessment. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Nelson, moved TO CLOSE THE <br />PUBLICHEARING. Motion passed 3 — 0. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved TO TABLE THE CURRENT <br />ITEM TO THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETING. Motion passed 3 —0. <br />ITEM 8: Purchase of Oudot F in Sanctuary Development and Memorandum of <br />Understanding <br />City Administrator Handt reviewed the proposed purchase of a tax forfeited outlot in the <br />Sanctuary development and terms of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City and <br />the homeowners association. <br />Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved TO ADOPT RESOLUTION <br />2018-112. Motion passed 3 — 0. <br />ITEM 9: Little Free Library at Savona Park <br />City Administrator Handt presented a proposal from a resident interested in donating and <br />installing a Little Free Library in Savona Park. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved TO ADOPT RESOL UTION <br />2018-113. Motion passed 3 — 0. <br />ITEM 10: Grant for Wildflower/Village Preserve Park <br />City Administrator City Administrator Handt reviewed Parks Commission work on the design <br />for a new park in the Wildflower/Village Preserve area and requested approval to apply for a <br />grant for playground equipment. <br />Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Mayor Pearson, moved TO AUTHORIZE STAFF TO <br />APPLY FORA GAME TIME GRANT FOR LAKE HOLLYWOOD.
