LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />November 7, 2018 <br />RESOL UTION TO APPPR 0 VE THE VARIANCE FOR IMPERVIOUS SURFACE AND <br />WIDTH. Motion passed 3 —1. (Pearson — nay) <br />ITEM 13: Bentley Village Sketch Plan <br />Jennifer Haskamp presented the proposal for a residential subdivision south of 5th Street, east of <br />Jade Trail North and west of Keats Avenue North. Paul Heuer spoke on behalf of applicant Pulte <br />Homes and presented further details planned for the development. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Nelson, moved TO REMOVE ITEM 10 <br />FROM THE TABLE. Motion passed 4 — 0. <br />City Attorney Sonsalla presented a revised Resolution to approve both variances and updated <br />findings of fact. <br />Councilmember Bloyer, seconded by Councilmember Lundgren, moved TO ADOPT <br />RESOLUTION 2018-126 APPROVING THE VARIANCEREQUEST. Motion passed 3 —1. <br />(Pearson — nay) <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />Mayor Pearson: Attended chamber of commerce event, Hamlet HOA meeting and LMCIT <br />meeting, noting that the City's deductible would be reduced to the original amount on January 1, <br />2019. <br />Councilmember Nelson: Thanked Clerk Johnson for her work on the General Election, held <br />meetings with residents. <br />Councilmember Lundgren: Congratulated newly elected Councilmembers Dale Dorschner and <br />Lisa McGinn; met with residents in the Hamlet neighborhood. <br />Councilmember Bloyer: met with residents regarding the 2019 streets project, met with Hamlet <br />residents regarding their trails, attended Cimmaron resident meeting and Hagbergs grand re- <br />opening. <br />STAFF REPORTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />Administrator Handt: Announced online bill pay is up and running. <br />City Clerk Johnson: Provided an election update. <br />City Attorney Sonsalla: Working on LMCIT deductible and Royal Golf. <br />Finance Director Iverson: Reported on online bill pay and utility rates. <br />City Engineer Griffin: Holding 2019 street project meeting on November 8'1' at 5:00 & 6:00 <br />p.m. <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />
