LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br />MARCH 5, 2019 <br />Jim Felton, Royal Golf Club, commented on the water main installation and stated that the ball <br />fields could remain open for the current year. Felton also expressed concerns over delays due to <br />spring road restrictions. <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Nelson, moved TO APPROVE THE <br />REQUESTED TIME EXTENSION TO JUNE 1, 2020 TO RECORD THE ROYAL GOLF <br />CLUB AT LAKE ELMO 3RD ADDITION FINAL PLAT. THISAPPROVAL IS BASED ON <br />THE FINDINGS OF FACT AND IS SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS OFAPPROVAL <br />OUTLINED IN THE STAFF REPORT. <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember McGinn, moved TO ADD CONDITION 21 <br />REQUIRING THE BALL FIELDS TO REMAIN OPEN UNTIL THE FINAL PLAT IS <br />RECORDED. Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />Primary motion passed 5 - 0. <br />ITEM 15: Purchase of Service Truck <br />Public Works Lead Colemer presented details of the proposed truck to be purchased, including <br />safety equipment and discussed costs to rent a similar truck. <br />Mayor Pearson moved TO DENY THE PURCHASE OF SERVICE TRUCK Motion failed <br />— no 211. <br />Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmemberporschner, moved TO APPROVE <br />PURCHASE OFA SERVICE TRUCK INANAMOUNTNOT TO EXCEED $130,000. <br />Motion passed 5 — 0. <br />ITEM 16: Purchase of Tandem Axle Plow Truck <br />Public Works Lead Colemer provided information on the proposed truck. <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember McGinn, moved TO APPROVE THE <br />PURCHASE OFA TANDEMAXLE DUMP TRUCK FROMNUSS EQUIPMENT AND <br />SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT FROM TOWMASTER EQUIPMENT FOR ANAMOUNT <br />NOT TO EXCEET $265,000. Motion passed 5-0. <br />ITEM 17: Council Appointment to Economic Development Authority <br />Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember McGinn, moved TO APPOINT <br />COUNCILMEMBER DORSCHNER TO THE EDA. <br />Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Nelson, moved TO AMEND THE PRIMARY <br />MOTION TO APPOINT COUNCILMEMBER NELSON TO THE EDA.
