LAKE ELMO CITY COUNCIL MINUTES MARCH 5, 2019 Jim Felton, Royal Golf Club, commented on the water main installation and stated that the ball fields could remain open for the current year. Felton also expressed concerns over delays due to spring road restrictions. Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Nelson, moved TO APPROVE THE REQUESTED TIME EXTENSION TO JUNE 1, 2020 TO RECORD THE ROYAL GOLF CLUB AT LAKE ELMO 3RD ADDITION FINAL PLAT. THISAPPROVAL IS BASED ON THE FINDINGS OF FACT AND IS SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS OFAPPROVAL OUTLINED IN THE STAFF REPORT. Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember McGinn, moved TO ADD CONDITION 21 REQUIRING THE BALL FIELDS TO REMAIN OPEN UNTIL THE FINAL PLAT IS RECORDED. Motion passed 5 — 0. Primary motion passed 5 - 0. ITEM 15: Purchase of Service Truck Public Works Lead Colemer presented details of the proposed truck to be purchased, including safety equipment and discussed costs to rent a similar truck. Mayor Pearson moved TO DENY THE PURCHASE OF SERVICE TRUCK Motion failed — no 211. Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmemberporschner, moved TO APPROVE PURCHASE OFA SERVICE TRUCK INANAMOUNTNOT TO EXCEED $130,000. Motion passed 5 — 0. ITEM 16: Purchase of Tandem Axle Plow Truck Public Works Lead Colemer provided information on the proposed truck. Mayor Pearson, seconded by Councilmember McGinn, moved TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OFA TANDEMAXLE DUMP TRUCK FROMNUSS EQUIPMENT AND SNOW REMOVAL EQUIPMENT FROM TOWMASTER EQUIPMENT FOR ANAMOUNT NOT TO EXCEET $265,000. Motion passed 5-0. ITEM 17: Council Appointment to Economic Development Authority Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember McGinn, moved TO APPOINT COUNCILMEMBER DORSCHNER TO THE EDA.
