SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED: As part of its Consent Agenda, the City Council
is asked to approve the attached annual liability coverage waiver form. The form has been filled
out based on a recommendation by our insurance agent and the League of MN Cities Insurance
Trust. No specific motion is needed, as this is recommended to be part of the overall approval of
the Consent Agenda.
STAFF REPORT: The City is required on an annual basis to specifically state if they want to
waive the monetary limits on municipal tort liability established by Minnesota State Statutes. It
is recommended that the City NOT waive the monetary limits as noted on the attached form.
