SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED: As part of its Consent Agenda, the City Council is asked to approve the attached annual liability coverage waiver from. The form has been completed based on a recommendation by our insurance agent and the League of MN Cities
Insurance Trust. No specific motion is needed as this is recommended to be part of the Consent
Agenda.
LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: NA
BACKGROUND INFORMATION/STAFF REPORT: The City is required on an annual basis to specifically state if they want to waive the monetary limits on municipal tort liability established by Minnesota State Statutes. It is recommended that the City NOT waive the monetary limits as notes on the attached form.
RECOMMENDATION: Based on the aforementioned, the staff recommends the City Council
approve as part of the Consent Agenda the annual League of MN Cities Insurance Trust Waiver Form.
