POLICY RECOMMENDER: Engineering.
FISCAL IMPACT: $8,744.00.
This change order increases the contract amount for the project by $8,744.00 bringing the revised
construction contract to $2,403,744.00. With this change order the project remains within the authorized
project budget and contingencies.
SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED: The City Council is respectfully requested to consider
approving, as part of the consent agenda, Change Order No. 2 for the Inwood Water Tower (No. 4)
Improvements.
LEGISLATIVE HISTORY/BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This change order is being processed
at the City’s request to furnish and install a new 16-inch butterfly valve at the location of connection to
the trunk watermain on Inwood Avenue. This valve was added to allow the water tower to be isolated
from the distribution system to better facilitate maintenance activities.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff is recommending that the City Council approve, as part of the consent
agenda, Change Order No. 2 for the Inwood Water Tower (No. 4) Improvements. If removed from the
consent agenda, the recommended motion for the action is as follows:
