AGENDA ITEM: Accept Resignation of Public Works Operator Cornell

BACKGROUND:
Mike Cornell submitted his resignation as Public Works Operator III on May 19, 2017. His last
day will be Friday, June 2, 2017.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Does Council accept the resignation of Public Works Operator Cornell?
PROPOSAL:
The Council is respectfully requested to accept the resignation from Mike Cornell. Since we are
in the middle of recruiting a new public work operator already, staff will consider making
recommendations on three new hires from the applicant pool to fill our current vacancies.
FISCAL IMPACT:
NA
OPTIONS:
1) Accept Resignation of Mike Cornell
2) Do not accept Resignation of Mike Cornell
RECOMMENDATION:
If removed from the consent agenda:
“Motion to accept Mike Cornell’s resignation,.”
