ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
City Council is asked to review and accept, as part of Consent Agenda, a brief description of activities
that have taken place in the Public Works Department in the month of August 2017.
PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS:
• Begin Water Meter change out project
• Meet with Miller Excavation on Savon Park Grading Quote
• ISO meeting w/Fire Chief
• Mill and Overlay Pre-con for 43rd St., Kimbro Ave. and 31st St.
• Easton Park meeting w/ Developer and Planning Director
• 20th St. Water Main Extension Pre-con
• Inwood Booster Station Start –up to Inwood Development
• Begin Lions Park Project
• Easton Village 3rd Add. Pre-con
• Safety Meeting
• Data Loggers installed in Savona for pressure surge study
• Meet w/ Virginia Pleban
• Annual DOT Inspections completed on plow trucks
• V-plows and Liftgates installed on new ¾ ton pick-ups
• Walk thru inspection at Inwood 3rd
• Water Leak Detection completed in Heritage Farms, Tana Ridge and Fields of St. Croix
• Road shouldering
• Pothole Patching 19tons
• Brush cutting in parks
• Wood mulch added to Reid Park Playground
RECOMMENDATION:
Base on the activities listed above, City Council is respectfully asked to accept the August 2017 Public
Works Report.
