CITY OF LAKE ELMO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES May 11, 2017
Call to Order/Roll Call Mayor Pearson called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.
PRESENT: Mike Pearson, Anne Cohen, John Thompson, Linda Larson, Mark Gaertner and Steve
Nelson
ABSENT: John Schiltz, Jill Lundgren, Dan Raleigh
Staff Present: City Administrator Handt and City Planner Becker
Election of Officers Motion by Pearson, seconded by Thompson to elect the following officers: President: Steve Nelson Vice President: Dan Raleigh Secretary: Kristina Handt Treasurer: Mark Gaertner Assist. Treas.: Kristina Handt Motion passed
Washington County Economic Development Plan Update Chris Eng, Economic Development Director, Washington County Community Development Agency (Wash CDA), gave an overview of the Wash CDA, shared information about the commercial/industrial market value sin the county, population/job growth, available talent and marketing efforts. Eng also provided a summary of the Wash CDA 2017-2019 Economic Development Plan.
Development Updates Planner Becker summarized the residential and commercial developments in various stages of the process. A map was provided identifying those areas. Commissioners requested a list of commercial inquiries along the I-94 corridor.
2017 Meeting Schedule EDA will meet quarterly and on an as needed basis. The next meeting is September 14, 2017 at 6:30pm.
