The City of Lake Elmo
Planning Commission will conduct a meeting on
Monday, January 23, 2012, at 7:00 p.m.

a. November 14, 2011
b. January 9, 2012
4. Business Items
a. FIRE DEPARTMENT PRESENTATION. The Lake Elmo Fire Chief will
present information to the Planning Commission regarding the department’s
operation, capital needs, and future facilities needs.
b. OUTDOOR LIGHTING ORDINANCE. The Planning Commission is being
asked to review the City’s outdoor lighting ordinance and to discuss potential
amendments to the ordinance.
c. PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING SCHEDULE FOR 2012. The
Planning Commission needs to set its meeting schedule for the year, and to
specifically approve alternate meeting times during holidays and other
conflicting dates.
5. Updates (Verbal)
a. City Council Updates.
i. Durand Septic System Variance; Extended until the February 8th
Council meeting
ii. Annual Report: Accepted by the City Council
iii. Northeast Annexation Detachment: City Council confirmed action to
appeal decision
b. Staff Updates. Village/I-94 Work Groups, New City Administrator, MnDOT
Landscaping Grant
c. Commission Concerns
