SUMMARY:
Sunfish Lake Park signage
At the November 19, 2007 Park Commission meeting, the commission recommended on an 8:1 vote to recommend approval of the proposed Mn/DOT Highway 5 signs for Sunfish Lake Park which was
then forwarded to the City Council. The City Council approved the spending of funds on directional park signage at the December 4, 2007 meeting. The money has been mailed to Mn/DOT
to order the approved signs.
Rezone Park Property to PF
The two properties that make up Lake Jane Hills Park were previously zoned R-1. In order to remedy the inconsistent zoning with the existing use and Comprehensive Plan, the Planning
Commission held a public hearing and recommended approval of the rezoning of the two parcels. The City Council approved rezoning the properties to Public Facilities at the January
8, 2008 meeting.
Parks Plan Update
The Comprehensive Parks Plan was reviewed by the Planning Commission at which time a public hearing (required for Comprehensive Plan updates) was held. Although it was thought the Comprehensive
Parks Plan would be discussed at the February 4th Council meeting, due to other pressing projects related to the village area, the item has again been postponed. Staff is anticipating
a council review date of Tuesday, February 19th. As the date gets closer, staff will send out an email reminding the park commission of the review.
Capital Improvement Plan (CIP)
Attached is the updated CIP as recommended by the Park Commission and approved by the City Council.

No recommendation is necessary.
