The above excerpt from the Comprehensive Trail Guide Plan identifies existing off road trails in the Stonegate development with a small section of a proposed on street.trail to connect
to Stonegate Park. Also shown are proposed off road trails to provide future connections to adjacent properties.
The Comprehensive Plan does not identify the material to be used or design standards for proposed trails. Instead, page 36 of the plan says “the process of planning and designing trails
is constantly changing, and design for trails to be built should reflect the standards in effect.” There are references made to utilizing the standards and guidelines of Mn/DOT unless
there are specific exemptions for extenuating circumstances.
