Conservation Easement Planning Questions
1) What are the current land uses (or prohibited uses) and facilities?
2) What is it about this land that your community is most interested in protecting and how
would this provide a public benefit?
(for example: water features such as lakes and ponds, rivers and streams, wetlands;
natural habitat; passive recreational opportunities)
3) Would the City like to build any additional structures or recreational facilities on the
property in the future? If so, what type and where?
4) Would the City like to construct any additional roads or trails on the property?
5) What future land uses or activities does the City want to see in the park?
(for example: hiking, fishing, horseback riding, etc; active recreation; restoration)
