ITEM: Sunfish Lake Sign Program and Update on Planned Parking Area Improvements

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Carol Kriegler will provide several material options for park entrance signage to be considered in
an effort to develop a comprehensive sign program for the City’s park system. A number of
designs / photos will be made available for review in an effort to consider several material
options:
Sandblasted cedar
Routed or auto carved bi-color HDPE plastic
Routed / epoxy filled recycled plastic lumber
Lazer or water-jet cut metal and dimensional letters
Cost estimates will also be provided.
In addition, an update will be provided regarding the status of other sign related improvements for
Sunfish Lake Park:
Prairie interpretive panel
Prairie plant identification signs
Kiosk regulatory signage
Trail entry regulatory signage
Entry drive “burma shave style” regulatory signage
Rain garden interpretive signage
In addition, proposals related to boulder purchase / placement and parking area grading will be
available for review and consideration.
