Like the vast majority of residents -- none 3. picnicking 4. picnic, birding, trash pick-up What improvements, if any, are needed for existing amenities in Tablyn Park? 1. Gates on tennis court to close. Fix path so smooth and not bumpy. 2. Baby swings 3. The trail to the park from our neighborhood needs to be cleaned up. They cut down trees and just left them in the woods. 4. Safer environment in the evening hours. Improved bug control (mosquitoes) during prime times in the summer. Additional picnic areas with shade. Baseball field is in pretty bad shape and I'm not sure how often it actually gets used, either remove or improve depending on this survey. 5. None 6. Due to the loss of some significant tree cover last year in the storm, it would be nice to see some new trees planted in the picnic area to provide future shade. 7. Close the unused and costly tennis courts 8. We stopped going to the Tablyn Park because of all the broken glass in the playground pebbles. It's a shame because it’s a beautiful park. It would be wonderful to take my kids there if it were safe for them to play. I would suggest new play equipment an overall clean up, our county is too nice to have playground equipment like that. 9. Crime and safety concerns - the parking lot is hidden from general view and cars park up there after dark when the car occupants are certainly not using the park facilities. Move the parking lot so it's visible to Stillwater Rd. Erect signage that provides park hours and warns of enforcement of those hours and ticketing and fines. 10. Benches on the tennis courts on the side by the fence 11. improve the baseball field 12. trash pick-up, routine sheriff check on after hours parking 13. It would be nice if the playground was at the same level as the parking lot. Right now with young kids the playground is not user friendly. 14. The steps to get down from parking to the playground structure are difficult for older folks. It would be nice to have better accessibility for Grandparents who take kids to the park. What amenities or features would you like to see added to Tablyn Park? 1. Replace the big shade tree that was taken by the storm. 2. A paved pathway to the playground from the parking lot/south path for strollers/handicapped accessibility. 3. A covered picnic area would be nice by the playground area. 4. I know it’s a far stretch but maybe a larger playground for kids or additional amenities for kids. Small pavilion for picnics or any type of shelter with picnic benches. 5. Keep expenses for parks more centrally located for more people to have access. 6. It would be nice to have the swings (currently located near the tennis courts) relocated to the playground area. 7. Areas of prairie and woods instead of mowed grass that our residents rarely use. Be nice to know how many residents do use the park and how often --summer and in cold weather. Or is it used mostly by non-residents when it is used? 8. New playground equipment, new benches. 9. Move the parking lot/make the parking lot more visible. It is so hidden currently. 10. A bench to sit on by the water fountain would be nice. 11. make the baseball field good enough to play traveling games and practices there 12. Is enhancement of sledding possible or needed? This park really gets used heavily for the week or so sledding is possible. 13. Everything there is great. We have even talked about taking up tennis because of the courts. 14. restroom and parking lot improvements
