HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-082CITY OF LAKE ELMO WASHINGTON COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION NO. 2019-082 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DONATED MATERIALS AND SERVICES FOR DUGOUTS AT LIONS BALL PARK WHEREAS, Minnesota Statues Section 465.03 provides that donations to the City be accepted by resolution of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City is specifically authorized to accept gifts and bequests for the benefit of recreational services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17; and WHEREAS, citizens and businesses have donated over 800 hours of labor and materials as described below in the completion of two dugouts at Lions Ball Park; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo agrees that said contribution does benefit to the citizens of Lake Elmo and saved $93,1000 in park dedication funds to be used elsewhere; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, does hereby acknowledges and agrees to accept said donation of the two dugouts on behalf of the citizens of Lake Elmo.
