HomeMy WebLinkAbout4 17 072007 Seasonal Empolyees City Council Date: 4/17/07 CONSENT Item: 8 ITEM: Hire Seasonal Public Works Employees SUBMITTED BY: Michael Bouthilet, Public Works Superintendent REVIEWED BY: Susan Hoyt, City Administrator Tom Bouthilet, Finance Director _________________________________________________________________________ PURPOSE The city council is being asked to re-hire three seasonal employees, William Leary, Michael Wagner and John Eder, for the public works and parks department at $11.00 per hour which is a 3% increase from 2006. This seasonal wages with the 3% increase can be accommodated within the 2007 budget. These people have worked in the department for several seasons and are knowledgeable about the city’s parks and public works operations. This knowledge and experience reduces the time required for on the job training. RECOMMENDATION
Suggested motion for consideration:
Move approval of hiring William Leary, Michael Wagner, and John Eder as seasonal employees $11.00 per hour.
