SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED: The City Council is being asked to approve partial
payment to Lakes Mechanical Services, Inc., the contractor for the Tablyn Park/Lake
Elmo Heights Plumbing Connections project. Lakes Mechanical Services, Inc. has submitted
Partial Payment Certificate No. 5 for Contracts A and B in the amount of $28,253.47
and $134,670.92, respectively. This request has been reviewed by staff and payment is
recommended in the amount requested.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
On Contract A, due to the work being substantially completed, the retainage has been
reduced from 5% to 1%. An amount of $5,013.76 has been withheld in accordance with
the Contract.
On Contract B, due to the work being substantially completed, the retainage has been
reduced from 5% to 2%. An amount of $10,589.25 has been withheld in accordance
with the Contract.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend to approve.
Suggested motion for consideration:
Motion: Move to pay the amounts of $28,253.47 and $134,670.92 for the Tablyn
Park/Lake Elmo Heights Plumbing Connections Contracts A and B, respectively, to be paid
from the Tablyn Park/Lake Elmo Heights Project Fund.
