With the growth of the community and increase in daily workloads, the City of Lake Elmo has recently hired a new Building Inspector to help accomplish these daily tasks. ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council approve the purchase of a new vehicle to provide these services? FISCAL IMPACT: Total cost for the new vehicle will be $30,110.73. $24,000 is budgeted in the 2019 Building Dept. budget. The remaining $6,110.73 would come from the vehicle replacement fund. RECOMMENDATION: “Motion to approve the purchase of a new vehicle for $30,110.73 “ ATTACHMENTS: ● Stillwater Motors cost quote.
