AGENDA ITEM: Accept Resignation Letter From Paid On Call Firefighter Dominic Jara

BACKGROUND:
On September 24, 2019, Paid On Call Firefighter Dominic Jara submitted a letter of resignation, via
email. He requested it to be effective immediately. Over the last several years Dominic’s personal life has
had some significant changes that have impacted his ability to meet the response requirements of the
department. Dominic has served on the fire department from August 21, 2012 until September 24, 2019.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Should the Council accept the Letter of Resignation from Paid On Call Firefighter Dominic Jara?
PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS:
Staff is recommending the Council accept the letter.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No direct impact, other than savings of associated costs of a Firefighter, training, wages, uniforms,
etc.
OPTIONS:
1) Accept letter.

RECOMMENDATION:
If removed from consent agenda:
Motion to accept the letter of resignation from Paid On Call Firefighter Dominic Jara.
