AGENDA ITEM: Reconsideration of Council Vote on Administrator’s Contract Negotiations

BACKGROUND:
At the February 19, 2019 Council meeting, the Council voted to direct the City Attorney to
negotiate a new contract with the City Administrator to be brought back for the Council’s
consideration.
Council Member Bloyer voted on the prevailing side but has since requested that the vote be
reconsidered.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Should the Council approve a motion to reconsider the vote to direct the City Attorney to negotiate
a new contract with the City Administrator to be brought back for the Council’s consideration from
the February 19, 2019 meeting?
PROPOSAL:
Bloyer would like to reconsider the motion to direct the City Attorney to negotiate a new contract
with the City Administrator to be brought back for the Council’s consideration. The motion was
seconded by Council Member Nelson and passed 5-0.
If the motion to reconsider is approved by a majority of the Council then the issue of the
Administrator’s contract is back before the Council for debate and consideration.

OPTIONS:
1) Approve the motion to reconsider
2) Do not approve the motion to reconsider
MOTION TO RECONSIDER:
Motion to reconsider the vote to direct the City Attorney to negotiate a new contract with the
City Administrator to be brought back for the Council’s consideration.
