AGENDA ITEM: Economic Development Authority Council Representative Appointment

BACKGROUND:
Per the resolution establishing the Economic Development Authority (EDA), two members of the board
shall be Council members who serve a term consecutive with their term on the Council.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Who should the Council appoint to the Economic Development Authority?
PROPOSAL:
The Mayor has been serving as one member of the EDA. With the end of Council Member Jill Lundgren’s
Council term in January, her term on the EDA also ended.
Any of the other four Council members may be appointed to fulfill the requirement. Their term on the EDA
will expire when their council term expires (2 or 4 years).

OPTIONS:
1) Appoint __________________ as Council representative to the EDA
RECOMMENDATION:
