ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Should the City Council accept the improvements and approve Pay Request
No. 1 (FINAL) for the 2019 Crack Seal Project?
BACKGROUND: The 2019 Crack Seal Project has been fully completed. The Project Engineer has
prepared a Certificate of Completion and is recommending acceptance of the improvements and release of
payment in full. The one-year warranty period will begin on July 2, 2019, and will extend to July 1, 2020.
PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: Gopher State Sealcoat, Inc. has submitted Pay Request No. 1
(FINAL) in the amount of $32,469.00. The request has been reviewed and payment is recommended in the
amount requested.
FISCAL IMPACT: None. Final payment is proposed in accordance with the Contract for the project.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff is recommending that the City Council, as part of the Consent Agenda,
accept the improvements and approve Pay Request No. 1 (FINAL) to Gopher State Sealcoat, Inc. in the
amount of $32,469.00 for the 2019 Crack Seal Project. If removed from the consent agenda, the
recommended motion for the action is as follows:
“Move to accept the improvements and approve Pay Request No. 1 (FINAL) to Gopher State Sealcoat,
Inc. in the amount of $32,469.00 for the 2019 Crack Seal Project”.
