PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS: STREETS • Pothole Repair Continues • Attend to Storm Related Down Trees in ROW After Hours • Attend weekly CASH 19/Hudson BLVD construction meetings • Attend Washington County CIP Meeting • Improve gravel alley way behind village wine • Close steps at Discovery Crossing Bridge- Evaluation & Repair Planning • Auction off Pubic Works Surplus Items Receiving over $28,000 in Revenues • Complete First Round of Top Cut Ditch mowing • 2019 Mill and Overlay project occurred • 2019 Chip seal Project occurred • Work on 2020 Budget • Continue Tree Trimming in ROW’s • Continue Upgrading Street Signs To Meet Compliance • Walk Through Inspection at Easton Village 4th Addition • Complete 2019 Traffic Count Study • Lower and Raise Flags Several Times for Half Staff Recognition • Weed Whip Guard Rails • Change Fire Department’s UTV tracks to tires PARKS • Relocate stock piled buckthorn from Sunfish Lake Park • Sunfish Park Buckthorn Removal Meeting • Public Works Staff Attended Fork Lift and Competent Man Trench Safety Training • Public Works Staff Install hockey rink board system at Lions Park • Improve Lions Park parking lot • Improve Sunfish Lake Parking Lot and Drive Way • Submitted Ski Trail Grant Reimbursement • Install Park Benches and Garbage Containers at Savona and Wild Preserve Parks Page 2 • Installation of Play Ground Equipment at Wild Preserve Park • Identified and Evaluate Ponding on New Pickle Ball Courts • Weekly Park Garbage Collection and Bi-weekly Ball Field Grooming • Continue Monthly Mowing of Sunfish Lake Park Trails • Paint Reused Light Poles at the Lions Park Pickle ball Court • Attended monthly Park Commission Meeting WATER • Began locating, GPS marking and mapping of water curb stops valves • Completed MDH Water Samples • Complete Monthly Generator and Safety Inspections of Equipment and Facilities • Attend Precons for Projects • Work on Correcting Water Meter Reading Issues • Identified and Repaired Water and Surface Water leaks at 94 PRV vault • Met With TPC for SCADA Control Upgrade Options • Assist with Several Fire Flow Tests on Hudson Boulevard • Re-plumb Well 2’s Fluoride Suction Tube to Allow for Level Reading Transmitter • Replace Vandalized Exterior Light Fixture Glass at Well 2 • Held Bee-Hive Asset Software Training for Public Works Staff • Reviewed Water Tower 2 Inspection Report, Recommendations of Sediment Clean out in 2020 along with Coating Repairs and Mixer Install in 2024 SEWER • Replaced backup batteries in two lift station alarms • Trouble Shoot and Correct Lisbon South Lift Station Communication Failures • Vacuum/Clean Grease and Solids from Lisbon Lift station • Implement Deodorizers in three lift stations • Continue Daily Locates and Rounds • Identify Concerns and Jet 34th Street Sanitary Sewer • Royal South Lift Station Tree Relocation Meeting • Continue Weekly Proactive Pump downs of all Lift stations & Monthly Float Cleaning • Complete Annual SCADA Site Inspections/Tests SURFACE WATER • Repaired Multiple Sink Holes and Storm Sewer Catch Basins • Public Works Staff and Focus Engineering Met to Establish a Plan to Comply with MPCA’s MS4 Surface Water Protection Program • Develop Inspection Forms and Storm Water Maps • Clean out Sediment form several Culverts and Flared End Sections • Replace alternator on Backhoe RECOMMENDATION: Base on the activities listed above, City Council is respectfully asked to accept the July 2019 Public Works Report.
