Drills for the Month #1- Quarterly EMS Refresher Part Time Staff Accomplishments: - Cleaning and general maintenance at both stations. - Increased decontamination of apparatus and stations. - Inspected and repaired interior lighting at Station #1 & #2. - Vehicle and equipment inspections. - Assisted with Burn Permit applications. - Vehicle repairs as possible. Points of Interest: o 3 probationary members have now completed FFI, FFII, and HazMat certifications and two have also completed their Emergency Medical Responder certification. o 2 members completed Fire Inspector I training. o COVID continues to be a significant risk to our small department and we continue to follow CDC and MDH protocols for awareness and prevention. Both fire stations continue to be closed to the public for the safety of the public and our personnel. Signs have been posted at both stations. o We have seen an increase in burn permit requests as people take the time to clean up their yards during the mild weather. (Please remember that anything more than a contained 3’x3’x3’ fire requires a burn permit which can be picked up at city hall.)
