BACKGROUND:
Judie Mass started employment with the City on May 2nd, 2019 as a Finance Intern. On August 12th, 2019
Judie started full time employment as an accountant. On February 10th a probationary performance
review was completed, discussed by the employee and City Administrator. The discussion included a
review of performance as it relates to the Accountant essential functions and sets out goals for the next
review period.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Should the Council approve a step increase for Judie Maas?
PROPOSAL:
I am recommending Judie Maas receive one step increase effective February 12, 2020. She was previously
at Step 2 which is paid $25.15/hour. Step 3 is a pay rate of $26.69/hour.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Employee wage adjustments consistent with the Compensation Policy and Pay Plan were included in the
2020 budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
If removed from the consent agenda:
“Motion to approve a step increase to $26.69 per hour for Judie Maas effective February 12, 2020.”
