BACKGROUND:
As part of the City Council Agenda on February 4th, 2020 it was approved to issue an RFQ for
City Property Lawn Mowing Service in 2020, 2021 & 2022. Continuing to contract the mowing
out, Public Works staff can concentrate on other tasks that need more attention.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Should council award and contract Lawn Mowing services in 2020, 2021 & 2022?
PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS:
The City received eight bids in response to the request for quotes issued in February. Staff is
recommending the Council award the bid to the lowest responsible bidder, Black Rock Property
Maintenance LLC. Black Rock has provided mowing services to city properties the last two years.
