AGENDA ITEM: Lake Elmo Independent Living/Fields of Arbor Glen Lease

BACKGROUND:
The Fields of Arbor Glen is looking for some office space to use for sales/leasing beginning this
fall and for about 6 months ahead of their building opening up in Spring 2021. A lease in our
standard form for office space in the Brookfield Building is included in your packet.
ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL:
Should the City Council approve the lease with Lake Elmo Independent Living?
PROPOSAL:
Included in your packet is a lease agreement. The lease would begin September 15th with monthly
rent of $400 (prorated for first month). It is expected to run until the spring and requires a 60 day
notice.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increased rent of $400 per month for approximately 6 month provides revenue to the Brookfield
fund.
OPTIONS:
1) Approve the lease agreement
2) Amend and then approve the lease agreement
3) Do not approve lease agreement
RECOMMENDATION:
If removed from the consent agenda:
