SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED: The city council is being asked to authorize a revision of expenditures related to installation of the annex. The council previously authorized $11,000 for expenses related utility extensions (electrical, voice / data), site preparation, ADA ramp, furniture and miscellaneous costs. Actual costs are now estimated to total $17,000.00, or $6,000.00 more. The funds will come from the 2004A bond issue for public facilities. The increase in costs is attributed to the following:
• Power draw was higher than originally anticipated, requiring an independent meter and connection to the city hall transformer.
• Winter charges.
• Underestimate of voice / data line drop costs.
• Expanded site preparation to include placement of a full pad.
Move to approve authorization of expenditures in the amount of $6,000 for items related to utility
extensions, site preparation, ADA ramp, furniture and miscellaneous costs related to the city hall annex (in addition to the $11,000) to come from the 2004A capital improvement bond issue for
public facilities.
