Summary: For the first item of the special joint meeting, it is appropriate to take a few minutes to review the roles and responsibilities in the Planning Commission /
City Council relationship. Staff will review the responsibilities established by
Code, and invite discussion on ways to improve the working relationship.
City Organization:
Chapter 2 of the City Code outlines the duties and organization for both the
City Council and Planning Commission in the City of Lake Elmo. The
sections dealing with both bodies are attached for your reference, and will be used to guide our discussion on the 13th.
