ISSUE BEFORE COUNCIL: Review month end activity update from fire department.
PROPOSAL DETAILS/ANALYSIS:
2020 Total Incidents: 554 incidents
2019 Total Incidents: 541 incidents
We had 47 calls in December:
27 Medicals
1 Rescue assist with EMS
9 Dispatched and cancelled en route
3 Fire Alarms
1 Power line down
1 Gas leak
3 Car accidents
1 CO alarm
1 Brush fire
47 Total
Our average response time was 9.5 minutes from alarm to arrival.
21 calls had 3 or less responders minus the Duty Officer.
2 calls had only 1 personnel on the first due apparatus.
13 calls this month had only shift personnel for responders.
Part Timer Accomplishments:
- Cleaning and general maintenance at both stations.
- Reorganize
- Vehicle and equipment inspections.
- Assisted with Burn Permit applications.
- Inventory of turnout gear and equipment.
- Increased decontamination of apparatus and stations.
- Training of new personnel.
