CITY OF LAKE ELMO
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY MINUTES July 11, 2013 A. CALL TO ORDER. Mayor Pearson called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
PRESENT: Mike Pearson, Dan Raleigh, John Schiltz, John Thompson, Steve Nelson Also Present: City Administrator Zuleger, Finance Director Bendel, Program Assistant Gumatz.
B. PURPOSE OF THE EDA.
City Administrator Zuleger gave a presentation on the Purpose of an EDA.
C. APPROVAL OF BY-LAWS.
Mr. Nelson moved to approve the By-Laws. Mr. Raleigh seconded the motion. Motion passed 5-0.
D. ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
Mr. Nelson moved to nominate Mayor Mike Pearson as President. Mr. Thompson seconded the
motion. Motion passed 5-0.
Mayor Pearson moved to nominate Dan Raleigh as Vice-President. Mr. Nelson seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5-0.
Mayor Pearson moved to nominate John Schiltz as Secretary. Mr. Thompson seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5-0.
Mayor Pearson moved to nominate Steve Nelson as Treasurer. Mr. Schiltz seconded the motion.
Motion passed 5-0.
Mayor Pearson moved to nominate John Thompson as Assistant Treasurer. Mr. Schiltz seconded
the motion. Motion passed 5-0.
Mayor Pearson moved to approve a Resolution Organizing the Economic Development Authority
of the City of Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Mr. Thompson seconded the motion. Motion passed 5-0.
E. CITY DEVELOPMENT UPDATES. City Administrator Zuleger gave a presentation on the latest City Development Updates.
F. CITY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN 2013-2017. The City Capital Improvement Plan for 2013-2017 was briefly discussed.
G. 2013-2014 MEETING SCHEDULE.

It was decided that for now, the group will meet every other month, with the next meeting to occur on a Thursday in September at 3pm.
