ITEM: Report on park woodland restoration projects

SUMMARY AND ACTION REQUESTED:
A buckthorn removal event was conducted this fall at Pebble Park. Since then, Washington County Sentence to Serve program has logged nearly 800 hours removing buckthorn in the park.
Kathy Widen has secured grant dollars to cover chemical treatment and seedling plant costs for the project. Carol Kriegler will report on proposed woodland restoration activities
for Pebble and Sunfish Lake Parks in 2009.
