ITEM: Update on MPCA landfill remediation project and opportunities for recreational use of area to be turned back to the City.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Carol Kriegler will provide an update on the MPCA landfill remediation project and plans for working with the MPCA in regards to planning for future recreational use the area to be turned
back to the City.
While the Park Commission has expressed an interest in visiting the site, it is suggested that a meeting also be scheduled with MPCA engineers, City staff, the Park Commission Chair
and one or two other interested members for the purpose of exploring potential future recreation uses of the area.
