ITEM: Update on Sunfish Lake Park prairie restoration project and parking area improvements

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Seed bed preparation and seedling of the prairie at Sunfish Lake Park are expected to take place within the next week or so. Carol Kriegler will provide a brief overview of anticipated
activities, schedules, and details related to the restoration project.
In addition, other planned improvements are scheduled to be implemented in the very near future, such as boulder placement around the parking area, restoration project related interpretive
signage, planting of a native garden, etc. Carol Kriegler will provide details related to these improvements including anticipated costs / quotations and suggested sources and details
related to the planned improvements
ACTION REQUESTED:
The Park Commission is being asked to support the implementation of the boulder placement project, native garden planting, restoration project interpretive signage and their related
expenditures.
