City of Lake Elmo Planning Commission Meeting
Minutes of December 13, 2021
Commission Chair Risner called to order the meeting of the Lake Elmo Planning Commission at 7:00 p.m.
COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Risner, Graen, Mueller, Steil, Vrieze
COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Rehkamp
STAFF PRESENT: Planning Director Just
Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00 PM
Approve Agenda:
M/S/P: Graen/Mueller moved to approve the agenda. Vote: 5-0, motion carried unanimously.
Approve Minutes:
M/S/P: Steil/Mueller moved to approve the Planning Commission minutes of November 22nd, 2021. Vote: 5-0, motion carried unanimously.
Public Hearings: None
New/Unfinished Business:
2022 Planning Department Work Plan:
Planning Director Just gave staff presentation.
Staff is requesting that the Planning Commission review and recommend adoption of the proposed
Planning Commission Work Plan for 2022 to the City Council.
There was some discussion regarding the city demoing/replacing trees during utility projects.
M/S/P: Steil/Risner moved to approve the Planning Commission Work Plan for 2022. Vote: 5-0, motion carried unanimously.
Training – Needs & Wants
Director Just spoke about what training is necessary, such as the role of the Planning Commission and the basics of planning, and what training is optional based on member interest.
Director Just will send out a survey asking what additional training each commissioner would like to learn about.

12-7-21 Meeting – Crossroads East Development Agreement - Approved
12-7-21 Meeting – Royal Golf 4th Addition Final Outlot Plat - Approved
12-7-21 Meeting – Granted additional time to Applewood Pointe to submit Final Plat/PUD - Approved
