CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
MAY 11, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
Called the meeting to order at 6:35 pm.
PRESENT: Mayor Cadenhead, Councilmembers Katrina Beckstrom, Jeff Holtz and Lisa McGinn. Absent: Councilmember Dale Dorschner.
Staff present: City Administrator Handt (via video), Assistant Administrator Dickson, Planning Director Roberts, Fire Chief Kalis, Public Works Director Powers, Finance Director Magureanu
and City Clerk Johnson.
Operational Audit Consultant Interviews
Interviews were conducted with Baker Tilly LLP, USA, The Novak Consulting Group, and Matrix Consulting Group.
Financing of New City Facilities
Administrator Handt presented options for partial and full financing of the new city facilities.
MPCA Water Extension Grants
Administrator Handt provided an update and brief discussion was held.
Amended DNR Water Appropriations Permit 1961-1031
Discussion held regarding getting elected officials involved at the state level and consider hiring a lobbyist with other local entities to promote the City’s interests.
Items for Future Agenda
Items proposed for future agendas were noted by City Administrator Handt.
Meeting adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
