CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES
JULY 13, 2021
CALL TO ORDER
Called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
PRESENT: Mayor Cadenhead, Councilmembers Katrina Beckstrom, Dale Dorschner and Lisa McGinn. Absent: Councilmember Jeff Holtz.
Staff present: City Administrator Handt, Planning Director Roberts, City Planner Prchal and City Clerk Johnson.
Highway 36 Transit Project Update
Emily Jorgensen, Washington County Public Works, presented a transit study on Highway 36 transit needs and recommendations.
Setback for Agricultural Buildings
City Planner Prchal presented an overview of the current setback requirements in the agricultural districts and comparisons from similar neighboring communities. Council consensus to
have the Planning Commission consider reducing the setback to 100 feet for principal and accessory buildings.
No Boat Trailer Parking on Olson Lake Trail
City Administrator Handt reviewed current parking conditions and discussion with Washington County regarding the possibility of installing “no parking” signs. Mayor Cadenhead added
that the lake association is concerned about the potential of parking issues due to new residential development in Oakdale.
Items for Future Agenda
Items proposed for future agendas were noted by Mayor Cadenhead.
